News from our Rwandan Managers: March 2019

Did you know that one of our key aims for the children and young people with disability who we support at Ngwino Nawe, is to arm them with the necessary skills and knowledge to deal with life after they leave our centre? This month, the older children have participated in training to help them understand about keeping healthy, including preventing HIV/AIDS.

All the children received lovely school kits from Sister Regine from St. Francis of Assisi, who was given them by Collectif Tubakunde. Thank you so much, the children are so happy!

At Baho Neza Mwana, the children were involved in a campaign to raise awareness of child  labour. This was aimed at encouraging parents to see the bigger picture – encouraging them to send their children to school, rather than engaging them in potentially hazardous work.

Find out more about what’s going on at Ngwino Nawe and BNM, as well as as news from our enterprise projects and farming training in our latest newsletter.
