A day of cricket to remember raises 35K!

On Friday, 24th May 2019 a celebrity cricket match took place on ‘The Head’ at Tonbridge School in order to raise money for our latest project, The Alivera Centre.

The day was a tremendous success! First, we were treated to a delicious lunch served by our caterer Juliet Bidwell and her team. After this, we were thoroughly entertained by a lively Q&A session hosted by BBC’s Chris Hollins. Then, to top it all off, we were treated to a fantastic afternoon of cricket in the sunshine!

Special thanks goes to…

Our special guests – Sir Ian Botham, Rob Andrew, Gladstone Small, Rob Key, Tom Chaplin and Chris Hollins for their support of our event.

RA supporter Rita Bischoff for manning our craft stall for the day and adding a wonderful £200 to our total from her sales.

All our friends and supporters who donated amazing prizes to our auction – thank you so much!

Jim Chaplin, for his help and support in organising such a brilliant day.

DRUMROLL PLEASE…

We were completely ‘bowled over’ by people’s generosity and are absolutely thrilled to have raised over £35,000! This means that work on The Alivera Centre can now begin and we can continue our pledge to make real, sustainable differences to the lives of some of the most vulnerable people living in South West Rwanda. Thank you all so very much.
