Rwanda Aid works to bring hope and opportunity to people living the remote South West of Rwanda, where there is widespread poverty and suffering, with limited NGO support. We work with the community and the government to identify the most pressing challenges and find new and innovative solutions. Once adopted by a local community and the government, these solutions become sustainable and real differences can be made. Rwanda Aid has also created a team of dedicated and professional Rwandan Managers who are responsible for the day-to-day running of our projects. We are very proud of our committed and empowered team, whose understanding of the country and context are fundamental to the success of our work.
Without Rwanda Aid’s amazing community of supporters and fundraisers, we would simply not be able to carry out the work we do and help provide a brighter future for Rwanda. All donations, no matter whether big or small are gratefully received.
Some donors prefer to give designated funds and we are usually able to accommodate this, but it is also extremely helpful to have undesignated funds as this allows us the flexibility to direct the funds where they are most needed.
ONGOING PROJECTS:
These projects require annual funding; any support with funds would be greatly appreciated
£24,000 a year Ngwino Nawe - our village for children with disability.
£50,000 a year Baho Neza Mwana - our centre for rehabilitating street children.
Making a donation to Rwanda Aid is easy. Whether you want to make a single donation or set up a regular donation via direct debit simply head to our Rwanda Aid JustGiving Page or click on the button below.
As a regular giver we will ensure you receive updates, news and events in our quarterly newsletter.
Payroll Giving Online
You can also choose to support Rwanda Aid from your payroll and pay no tax. Because the donation is taken from your gross pay, every pound you give will only cost you 80p, or 60p if you are a higher rate tax payer.

We couldn’t operate without wonderful people doing wonderful things for Rwanda Aid. If you are in need of some fundraising inspiration, then discover what some of our previous fundraising champions have achieved, and the weird and wonderful ways they did it. Champions we salute you!
Henry and Greg run 'The Kigali Peace Marathon' for Rwanda.
Last week, Henry Clatyton-Hatfield (son of our Chair of Trustees) and his friend Greg took on the Kigali Peace Marathon for Rwanda Aid. Despite the heat and the hills, they both put in an incredible effort and made it round not only in one piece, but also in impressive times! They have managed to raise over £5,000 for us and we are incredibly grateful for their amazing fundraising efforts. THANK YOU so much Henry and Greg for running for Rwanda Aid!
Robin Saunders - 'Clipper Round the World Yacht Race' for Rwanda.
This November sees Robin Saunders, long time friend of Rwanda Aid, set off on a epic fundraising adventure! Robin is going to be sailing a leg of the ‘Clipper Round The World Yacht Race’, involving 4 months at sea in some incredibly challenging conditions, in an attempt to raise some record breaking funds for Rwanda. Needless to say we are in awe of his efforts and very much hope he will have lots of wonderful fun along the way. To support him please follow him over on his website and visit his just giving page . Thank you so much Robin and good luck! Murakoze
Oliver Lycett and Kings House School
Kings House held their annual Christmas Fair last weekend and we are enormously grateful to the staff and Year 8 pupils who raised a huge £296 for Rwanda Aid through the sale of Christmas cards and Rwandan craft! A special shout out goes to Oliver, who took it upon himself to go round the fair with a collecting jar. Armed only with his enigmatic charm and a strong jar rattling arm, he managed to collect an amazing £40! Thank you all so much for your efforts. We will be putting the money to good use, helping some of the poorest people in our world!
Corporate Partnerships
Rwanda Aid builds long-term partnerships with corporate organisations working together to support core projects and maximise their impact.
These partnerships are key in delivering essential hope and opportunity to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged in the remote South-West of Rwanda, where NGO support is limited.
We are currently supported by Beazley, De La Rue, HSBC Global Education, Lifetime UK and Vitol.
Our partners know that working with us brings corporate benefits and we work closely to provide regular updates in the form of newsletters, films and presentations.
Members of staff from our corporate partners are invited to become as involved as suits them. This can take many forms:
- Gift programmes. Staff at De La Rue have prepared Christmas shoe boxes packed with gifts for street children and disabled children
- Fundraising events. Previously our corporate supporters have climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, run marathons and ski-dived!
- Volunteer in Rwanda. Staff from our corporates have been out to Rwanda to help with the work, mainly supporting the Rwandan management team
