Rwanda Earthquake Appeal

On Sunday 3rd Feb 2008 the Cyangugu area of Rwanda suffered an earthquake registering 6.2 on the Richter Scale and then a subsequent one registering 5.0 3 hours later. Click here to find out how you can help with the appeal.

Project Managers

In September 2006 Ian and Sheena Whiteford arrived in Cyangugu
to take on the role of Project Manager for the Diocese for two years, working in partnership with Rwanda Aid. They are continuing the work of overseeing the establishment, management and monitoring of church, health, welfare, education and agriculture projects in the Diocese.

From August 2004 to September 2006, David Chaplin was working as Project Manager for Cyangugu Diocese. He co-ordinated the management of many projects funded by Rwanda Aid, including those established since the Daily Telegraph Christmas Appeal 2005 (see below). David continues to raise funds for Rwanda Aid and visits Cyangugu regularly to visit the projects.
